Problems Rwandan distributors face

Money is short, and borrowing costs a lot.

Access to finance is the problem firms in Rwanda name most: 26.8% of those asked put it first. Bank loans cost about 16% a year, and formal businesses also name the cost of transport as a pressing problem. Knowing your stock and who owes you gets more from the money you already have.

01

Import costs move with the franc

The franc lost about 18% against the dollar in 2023 and 9.4% in 2024. Qonta works out the cost of each delivery when it arrives.

02

Customers buy on credit and pay late

See who owes you, how much and for how long, before you deliver again.

03

Every sale needs an EBM invoice

Fines are 10 times the VAT, or 200,000 RWF if you are not VAT registered. Qonta gives the EBM invoice with every sale when you use EBM.
