Qonta for printing

Every print job, from proof to profit.

Quotes, jobs, paper and ink, the counter and money in one place. Qonta fixes each job's expected cost when you approve it and shows what it really cost, so you know which jobs make money.

Problems print shops face

A busy press is not always a profitable one.

The price is agreed before the job, but paper, ink and reprints are counted after it, if at all. Qonta puts the price, the expected cost and the real cost of every job side by side.

EBM fines: the 2015 VAT law, reported by The New Times.

01

You quote before you know the cost

Each spec lists the paper, ink and finishing a product uses, so a job's expected cost is fixed when Management approves it, before the press runs.

02

Reprints and waste eat the profit

Every print run records the copies made and the waste. Each job shows its profit expected against actual, so a reprint shows up in money.

03

Jobs get lost between the counter and the press

Every job has one stage: to approve, proof, printing, finishing, ready, delivered. Anyone can see where a job is and who has it.

04

One tax fine can cost millions

An EBM fine is between 2 and 20 million RWF. Qonta makes the EBM receipt for every sale, so your records are always complete.

One screen

See every job on one screen.

What needs your approval, what is with the customer, what is on the press and what each job made.

Built for the counter and the press

A clear system to run your print shop.

Sales opens the job, Management approves it, the print operator runs it and the counter hands it over. Each person does their job on their own screen, and you see everything.

Specs

Write once what each product uses.

List the paper, ink and finishing for one product. Every job then shows what it needs and how much is in stock.

Who does what

Each person does their job. You see everything.

Management

Approves every job and fixes its expected cost. Sees everything, including money.

Accountant

Checks supplier invoices, sees what each job cost and made, prepares the books.

Stores

Receives and gives out paper and ink, counts stock. Does not see prices.

Print operator

Runs each job, records the copies printed and the waste, moves it to finishing and ready.

Sales

Opens jobs from a proforma or the counter, sends the proof, invoices when the job is delivered.

Reports

Reports your bank will ask for.

Most Rwandan businesses say getting a loan is their biggest problem. Banks ask for clear financial reports before they lend. Qonta prepares them to IFRS for SMEs at the end of each month, ready to download as PDF or Excel.
